As a teen, I think that we what we think about most is how our futures are going to turn out. We wonder how everything we do everyday, will effect our future. We wonder, if things will be good, great or terrible. Everyday of our lives we subconsciously are afraid that things won't turn out a well as we hope. We think that maybe all of our hard work won't pay off...and we also think of the possibility that are hard work is no enough to support our dreams and goals. At the end of everyday, we do not have direct control of how our lives turn out, and that is viciously frightening for us everyday. It is frighting that everyday the decisions we make, as young and reckless teens will impact our adult lives no matter how hard we try. We look at television shows, and see the lives of people that may be us in the future. We wonder if we have have stereotypical adult lives, with hardly any money and regretful pasts. However, the hope that we will lead happy lives keeps us going everyday. Mostly, we are afraid that we will mess up. So as teens, everyday we do as much work as we can, we look a colleges to go to, and we try as hard as we can to be self-conscious of the decisions we make. As we think of these things daily, we also have to accept that although are mistakes are what breaks us in life, they are also the things that make us the people we will become. Although mistakes seem to be the enemy to a teens future, I strongly believe that without them things will not go as well as. Even though thinking about or future may be stressful at the time, sometimes I believe it is the only thing that keeps us going everyday until 4pm, through every week until Friday, and every month until summer time. With all the issues, and things we have on our minds, and the days we feel we have no reason to live, our future is what keeps us going in the present. It may not be good to live in the past or worry about the future, but some days in some situations the things that are not good for us can lead us to good. Just how being so stressed with school that our hair just might fall out is bad for us, but it will lead to a great future for us....someday. So, as teens we think of our future will turn out... it is stressful to have our whole lives on out shoulders at such a young age, but we do and nothing will change it. And all we can do is find out how to juggle everything at once. This pain, right here, everyday is what helps us find ourselves...and figure out what we want and need for our future. Living in the moment is something we must develop as time goes by, and hopefully us teens still have a lot of that.... ahead of us :) #BARZZZZZ

I do in fact believe that knowledge can be a burden rather than benefit, to some extent. Obtaining the knowledge, is more than half the reason why education and knowledge is a burden. The stress of obtaining knowledge to be on a certain level in life is a burden itself. Although knowledge is the key to all success, sometimes it is not the root of all happiness. Also having a lot of knowledge, can put pressure on people that in unnecessary, and stressful. When someone has achieved many things there is a pressure for them to be good at all things, and be successful always. However, even people with knowledge are human, and make mistakes. Just like in high school, as teens learn each year they have more expected of them each year. This creates a burden for students to be perfect each year, however students still have flaws, and forget things periodically. As people learn new things, there is a pressure that they aren't learning things fast enough, or aren't smart enough, and do not have they right abilities to learn things the way others can. Although stress can come for the process and from the impact of knowledge, knowledge can also be powerful. Taking the stress of knowledge and achieving everything that someone is capable of. Knowledge is something that will be worth the stress and pressure in the end. Knowledge is very valuable, and is the beginning of many options, and success.

A Reading That Fascinated Me .
Today, I saw a quote on Twitter, and it fascinated. The quote read, "The Bad News : You cannot make people like, love, understand, validate, accept, or be nice to you. Good news is : It doesn't matter." This was very interesting to me, because everyday people try continuously to make people love them. However, one cannot control the thoughts, and hearts of others. If being yourself isn't enough for someone to care for you unconditionally, they are someone you don't need in your life. One needs someone who is going to not change you, but help you to embrace who you are, and become the best you possible. Not everyone will see the good in you, not everyone will even make an effort.
Although you can't make people feel certain ways, it does not matter, and is not a reflection of who and what you are. All that matters is that you love, like, understand, validate, accept, and are nice to yourself. You cannot depend on others to make you happy, therefore you find it within yourself. It does not matter what other people feel about you, it is only what you feel for yourself, and what you believe. Everyone looks for comfort in others, however you cannot let the absence of other peoples effort make you feel bad. It doesn't matter that you can't make people feel certain things, because at the end of the day all you have is yourself. People will not always be there to comfort and understand you so do for yourself.
Sometimes no matter how hard you try you cannot stop people from being cruel. You just have to find people that a comfortable with who you are, and that will not happen until you are comfortable with yourself. All you can do is show yourself, and it is up to that person to decide how they want to see you and treat you. It doesn't matter that you can't make people love you, because you shouldn't have to force or try to make someone feel a certain way about you. If you need to try, you are either trying too hard, and making things impossible for yourself, or those people do not deserve to be in your life.

Social Imagination
Personally, I do agree that we as
people we have the ability to create visions of what should
be and what might be a deficiency in our society, on the
streets where we live, and in our schools.
This is because, if people didn't see these things, there
would not be a way for people, places, and
things to improve. Being that improvement is key in modern
day, everyday people must identify
what could be better, and what things aren't very efficient.
Many people are
filled with creativity, and everyone as a distinct opinion. With all of these
opinions and thoughts that people have, ideas begin to form. As people we
always notice when things are uncomfortable, not only for ourselves but others.
For example, Martin Luther King Jr. noticed all
of the social injustices he began to work towards fixing
them. Without noticing deficiencies in our
society there is no way that they can be fixed. Every person
within the government has to use
What they know with the things they notice in order to
create effective change.
Along with our society, people must
notice how things could be better within our neighborhood.
For instance, the proof that people have the ability to
visualize these things, is that people always
Have a great idea of how to make the place they stay better.
People mow their lawns, sprinkle
their flowers, and pick up their dog feces, because they
have a bigger vision of how their neighborhood could be if everyone pitched in
and took care of their homes. However, to get to this point they have to notice
the faults of their neighborhood.
In schools students, teachers, and
administrators are striving to make things better every year, and every day. A
student makes things better by changing work ethics, staying focused, and
becoming motivated. Teachers try to improve by working harder, connection with
students, and trying to make things memorable. Administrators improve yearly by
changing and enforcing important rules and becoming more organized. These
things all come from noticing deficiencies, and unwanted results. These new
results are all the end result of people creating visions of how things should
and could possibly be.
All of these things being noticed can
create a poem. A poem if full of noticing that people see and feel are very
important, and feel that they should be heard no matter what. As someone
notices something a poem can come easily, because all the visions of the good,
and all the past thoughts of the bad create a very good harmony that turns out
to be a very meaningful poem.

The Truth
The past, present, and future have an enormous affect on the truth, and can lead us to the truth. The past can teach you things, the present can determine what your truth may be, and the future can motivate your truth.
Being that the past has already happened, it can teach you things as you look back on what has been done. Once new things are learned there is a better possibly of the truth being uncovered. For example, when you are having a conversation with someone, you may not be able to connect the dots at the one, but later you my recognize many important aspects of things that were said, and the truth can be revealed. Also, the past can not be undone so the things in the past are set in stone, so once something is done ... there is no going back and that IS your truth.
The present can lead us to the truth, because everything we do has the ability to be our truth. Everything you do in this moment is important to what the truth may be. Also the present can reveal the truth because the present is a combination of prior knowledge and very previous knowledge acquired as well.
The future can reveal your truth, because it is what your life will be. For Oedipus, being that the killer of the king is said to soon be murdered, that can reveal that Oedipus will be killed.

Oedipus !
In these few pages, Oedipus is blind of his truth. As the readers we know that that the Oracle predicted that Oedipus would kill his father. So the father of Oedipus, King Liaus, sent him away to avoid their fate . As Oedipus grew in a different family, he stills ages to kill his father ... without knowing his father was the king of the town he would once be the king of.
I feel that this dramatic irony is the core of this story. Every fact, and component of the story is based on the secrets within the story that the audience is aware of . Every twist and turn has some sort of affect on something else in the story and it has a ripple affect.
The fact that Oedipus seems to have a strong disgust toward the killer of the towns king , is every amusing it personally. In my opinion I feel that if Oedipus knew he had recently killed a man, that he should have been able to connect the dots. Mostly likely I feel this way, because I know the truth. Being that this story has so much dramatic irony, I am not sure.

The green light, The Eyes of Dr. Eckelburg, and the landscape all are significant to Fitzgerald's opinion and critique of the American Dream. All of these things prove in someone that Fitzgerald's disdain for the American Dream is reasonable. It is said that you must always go through the dark to see the light. With that being said, the landscape of this movie says just that. However, no matter where you go you always end up going through the Valley of Ashes, even if you're going to the other side or simply going home. You continue to pass through the Valley of Ashes frequently. This is just like the American Dream, because although these rich people have done so much to be successful, they still go through depression, and a sad lifestyle frequently. The green light, represents hopes, dreams, and the future, and how anyone would do anything to get to their green light. Although this sounds like hard work and dedication... many people will do even illegal things to reach their green light, and this is another reason why there is a bad view on the American Dream. It also shows this risks of achieving this American Dream. Lastly, the Eyes of Dr. Eckelburg represents of "corporate god" to the people, and this could be a motivation for people as they are working in the Valley of the Ashes, but it also represents how no hard work truly pays off if you actually do things right. This takes people away from their morals, and that is also why Fitzgerald has such a disdain for the American Dream.
